Marydale Park
Marydale Park is located 20 minutes from the heart of Hamilton’s downtown core and is an amazing multi-purpose, universally accessible outdoor recreational facility located on the shores of Lake Niapenco. Lake Niapenco (Niagara, Peninsula Conservation) is a 533 acre reservoir, home to thousands of wildlife and fish.
Marydale Park is a brand new 35 acre recreational facility. It was designed to be fully-accessible with some very unique barrier-free amenities for the 91,000 Hamiltonians that have some type of health condition or disability that limits the kind, or amount of activity they can do. While children will benefit most, people of any age – including those who use wheelchairs, scooters or walkers will be able to fully and independently enjoy the park’s amenities.
Every child deserves to play! Children of all abilities are able to enjoy barrier-free, outdoor recreation in Hamilton, Marydale Park is the Catholic Youth Organization’s (C.Y.O.) most exciting community service project to date.
People of any age or ability, including those who use wheelchairs, scooters or walkers, are able to fully and independently enjoy the playing fields, trails, pools, boating, fishing, and much more.
Marydale Park provides everyone with the opportunity to enjoy outdoor recreation and camping regardless of their abilities.
Great Room
Located in the main building, we have a large 118 people capacity room, with easy access to kitchen services, and accessible washrooms.
Fishing & Boating
Located on Lake Niapenco, we offer easy access to the 332 acre water reservoir with boating and fishing programs.
Pavilion
This large covered pavilion can host events with 533 people capacity, with access to picnic tables and power for AV and speakers.
Recreation
The 35 acres is yours to enjoy, with beach volleyball court, archery range, gaming areas, boating, fishing and a 1.2 km paved pathway system.
